+3e working with .Z80 files!

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

Got the snapshot loading system working with the +3e. I’ve achieved this by copying the .Z80 files onto a 3.5″ disk formatted for the Spectrum. I then copy the files to the hard disk via the +3. I then issue a command like…

spectrum “c:jetset.Z80″

You then get results like the image below. Im very impressed as it only takes 1 second to load a game!

+3 running a game from a snapshot file

You can use both 48k and 128k snapshots so I can play Hungry Horace with ease! :-)

Spectrum +3 IDE Interface made!

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

Ive finally made the 8bit IDE interface for the Spectrum +3, and it worked 1st time. Will try and copy some .SNA and .Z80 snapshots over to it later. Ive also added a 3.5″ floppy drive so I can easily transfer files from the PC.
