in nov ’84 my daughter(age 4)and i found a macintosh computer at the newspaper recycle bins of tamalpias high school in mill valley ca.it was a prototype with a 5.25″disk drive.with it was a box of parts, motherboards keyboards and a 3.5″disk drive.they were pencil numbered #36 and#37.people often leave trash at recycle centers, this time parts of a then 8 mo old macintosh.we thought someone working for apple ,living in mill valley, dumped it.i was able to trade it (not working)for things that got a working c-64 for our family.
