I loved this game on the PC way back in the early 90s! Still have the boxed game (somewhere…)

The classic game sells for $9.99 in all Mac App Store supported countries and runs on Snow Leopard and Lion. First released in 1993 on the PC and Mac, and in 2010 on the iPhone, The 7th Guest is a challenging game that withstands the test of time. This release is built for Mac OS X and brings the game to a modern platform while maintaining its original appeal.
The 7th Guest is also available for PC from Dotemu and GOG and for iPhone/iPad in the iTunes App Store. The sequel, The 11th Hour is available from Dotemu and GOG for PC only.

Acorn RISC PC Games – Doom II and Cannon Fodder

0

2 short videos showing Doom II and Cannon Fodder playing on the Acorn RISC PC 700 with a StrongARM CPU.

The RISC PC doesn’t have native OPL3 type audio, so there is no music for Doom II – but you can play audio from a audio CD if you wish. However, Cannon Fodder uses PCM audio, so you do have some music. Audio is quite similar to the Commodore Amiga.

My favourite Amstrad CPC game – Sorcery+

1

This has to be one of my favourite games for the Amstrad CPC. The aim of the game is to release all of the captured

wizards placed all over the game. One you have released them all, you can proceed to the second part of the game to try and defeat the Necromancer.

This was an early release for the CPC. The graphics are quite stunning and could rival many other games release at the same time for other 8 bit machines. The games makes use of ‘split mode screens’. This allows the game to make use of mode 0 and mode 1 graphics.

You can download a disk image of the games from the NVG collection.

There is also a map available if you get really stuck. Sourcery+ map

Go on, download this game and give it a go! You will not be disappointed. The screenshots and cover art in the post was taken from Genesis8.
